Bumgarner allowed three runs (two earned) in five innings against the Brewers on Saturday at Chase Field in one of his better outings of the second half. … Bumgarner has faced the Rockies twice this season, posting a 4.26 ERA in 12 2/3 innings. … RF Charlie Blackmon is 19 for 57 (.333) with two doubles and three homers off Bumgarner. 1B C.J. Cron is 4 for 10 (.400) with two doubles. … Urena has been roughed up in two of his past three outings. Most recently, he allowed seven runs (six earned) in 5 1/3 innings against the Reds, striking out just one of the 25 batters he faced. … He faced the Diamondbacks in back-to-back starts in August, giving up seven runs in 12 innings. He served up five homers in those games, three of them to 3B Emmanuel Rivera, one to 2B/3B Josh Rojas and one to 1B Christian Walker.

Davies gave up one run in 4 2/3 innings against the Brewers in his most recent start, putting the Diamondbacks in good position for a 2-1 victory. … Davies has been sharp in his past four starts, giving up five runs in 21 innings (2.14 ERA) with seven walks and 17 strikeouts. … He fired five scoreless innings against the Rockies when he faced them last on Aug. 7. … Marquez has had a rough season but he has been turning it around in recent weeks, posting a 3.62 ERA over his past 11 starts, all of which have lasted at least six innings. … He faced the Diamondbacks twice in that span, giving up two runs in seven innings on on July 10 and two runs in six innings on Aug. 5. … 2B Ketel Marte is 4 for 8 with two doubles and a homer off Marquez this season.

Rockies update: The Rockies were trending toward .500 as they approached the All-Star break, but the second half has not been kind to them. They have gone just 16-29 since the break. The Rockies have the worst ERA (5.03) in the National League and are just middle of the pack offensively, averaging just 4.4 runs per game, eighth in the league. 1B C.J.
