Pittsburgh International Airport to get CLEAR screening option

Pittsburgh International Airport is set to join the growing list of airports across the country that will soon open up a premium security screening lane offering from CLEAR.

On Friday, the Allegheny County Airport Authority’s board of directors, which oversees the management of PIT, approved a tentative five-year agreement with Alclear LLC, the provider of the CLEAR offering.

That five-year clock for the agreement starts once the security lane is put in place at the airport sometime this summer. As part of that agreement, Alclear will also pay ACAA an upfront cost of $600,000 and it will share 10% of its revenue garnered at PIT, which the ACAA estimated could be $360,000 annually.
