Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium offering free admission to those who bring recycled electronics

For the month of April, the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium will offer free daytime admission to guests who bring electronics to the zoo to be recycled.

One free general daytime admission will be offered in exchange for one of the following devices, in any condition:

  • Cell phoones

  • Tablets and eReaders

  • Smart watches

  • Digital cameras

  • MP3 players

  • GPS devices

  • Handheld gaming devices

Guests presenting a small electronic at the admission gates will receive one free admission per device and a 10% off coupon for zoo retail items.

Anyone interested may bring more than one device and receive multiple admissions for each, but devices cannot be rain checked for alternate days or times.

“This program is a win for everyone,” said Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium Chief Advancement Officer Ron Gruca. “It welcomes our neighbors to the Zoo in an accessible manner and it promotes our mission of conservation. It falls in April, which includes Earth Day, and it supports gorillas, including our resident newborn gorilla.”

The program is available through April 30, 2023.
