Pizza driver shot in ambush robbery, carjacking

A pizza delivery driver was shot twice during an ambush robbery and carjacking late Tuesday night in northwest Baltimore. City police said officers were called around 11:30 p.m. to the 3500 block of Cottage Avenue near Park Heights for a reported shooting. Police said officers found a 55-year-old man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He remained hospitalized Wednesday in stable condition. Investigators determined the man was delivering food in the neighborhood lined with rowhomes on one side of the street and trees on the other, when two unidentified men approached and announced a robbery.
