The Place 2 Be — the all-day brunch and cocktail restaurant chain famous for its Instagrammable decor, which was founded in Hartford in 2016 — is opening a location in Dallas, the Statement Group announced Wednesday.

The 6,900-square-foot location is the first outside of the northeast. The Place 2 Be has two locations in Hartford, one in West Hartford, one at the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts, and one coming soon to New Haven.

The Dallas location is at 2401 Victory Park Lane, across the street from American Airlines Arena, where the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks play. It will open next year, it was announced.

The new location got a publicity boost when Tim Hardaway Jr., a member of the Mavericks, announced the restaurant’s impending opening on Instagram. His official account, @timmyjr10, has 492,000 followers.

“Got to visit TP2B while in Springfield this past weekend,” Hardaway wrote, referring to the induction of his father, Tim Hardaway Sr., a retired NBA guard. “Happy to announce they just signed a lease in Dallax, TX!”

In his post, which was accompanied by several photos of The Place 2 Be’s over-the-top menu items, Hardaway tagged @theplace2bect and @ginaluari.

Gina Luari, founder and CEO of TP2B and The Statement Group, said in a news release, “Dallas represents a big step for us. For the first time ever, we are taking The Place 2 Be outside of New England, the first of more national locations to come.”

The restaurant group is at place2bect.com.
