Sunday Funday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Farney's on Jefferson St. Join the fun at Farney’s with live music from Bosephus Wayne.

Ultimate Frisbee at 2 p.m. at Burlington Area YMCA. Check out Ultimate Frisbee, a fast-paced, team-oriented sport almost anyone can play. Participants will learn throwing techniques, game fundamentals and have a chance to put their new skills to the test in a game. No equipment or registration required – just make sure to stop inside and sign a waiver before playing.

"Beauty and the Beast" at 7 p.m. at Aldo Leopold Middle School. Burlington High School music & drama students present Disney’s Beauty and the Beast: The Musical. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students at the door.

Tuesday, Nov. 15

Drop-In Tech Help from 3 to 4 p.m. at Burlington Public Library. Bring your smart phone, tablet, Chromebook, iPad, Kindle or other tech device that’s giving you grief to the library – knowledgeable library staff can help! This program is free and open to the public, and no registration is required.

WIU Jazz Orchestra & Mount Pleasant Jazz at 8 p.m. at The Washington. The acclaimed WIU Jazz Orchestra takes the stage alongside the talented students of Mt Pleasant Jazz. Tickets are $12 at Eventbrite.com.

Wednesday, Nov. 16

Burlington Lunchtime Chamber Music Series from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. Spend your lunch hour expanding your cultural horizons! September through June, these free performances take place on the third Wednesday of each month. This month: Violinist Jeffrey Phillips, flutist Rose Bishop and pianist Leigh Pirtle perform Mel Bonis' Suite en Trio and Bohuslav Martinu's Sonata, H. 254.

Thursday, Nov. 17

All-Member Art Show kicks off at Art Center of Burlington. The even runs through Dec. 23, and hours vary. The All-Member show celebrates the talents of area artists in every medium – and it’s a great opportunity to find a special gift for that hard-to-please art lover on your list. Both the month-long show and the artist reception from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 2 are free and open to the public.

Bingo at Moose Lodge #579, 2529 Mount Pleasant St. Doors open at 4 p.m., Early Bird at 6:20 p.m., regular games at 7 p.m. Yolanda’s food available with carry out, too.

Friday, Nov. 18

Friday Forums at 8 a.m. at Greater Burlington Partnership.

Celebrity Battle of the Brushes is at 4 p.m. at Art Center of Burlington. Talented artists help local “celebrities” create original works before your eyes in this live painting competition. The celebrities will then auction off their completed paintings; proceeds support the Art Center’s education and outreach programs. The Gallery Lounge will be open with beer, wine & charcuterie. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door.

A Taste of the Hinterland is from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hinterland Dairy in Donnellson. Sample farm-fresh cheeses and delicious dips, desserts and appetizers – and pick up some terrific holiday recipes - at Hinterland Dairy. Don’t plan your holiday menus without a trip to ‘the Hinterland’.

Family Night Unplugged: DINOvember at 6 p.m. at Burlington Public Library. Ditch the devices for an evening of family fun at your library. This month: dig for dinosaurs as an amateur paleontologist and do a variety of dino-mite activities. Mindfully Me at 4:15 p.m. at Burlington Public Library. Drop in for an hour of yoga and mindfulness practice with literary elements. Kids will learn fun yoga poses, breathing regulation, calming techniques and how to regulate their emotional weather. No experience needed and registration is not required; best for ages 4 and up.

Trivia Night at 6 p.m. at Cornerstone Wedding & Event Center. Check out Greater Burlington’s newest event venue during a fun trivia night! $10 per person for teams up to six. Snacks will be provided; BYOB. Prizes for the winners – and the losers.

Elf the Musical at 7 p.m. at Capitol Theater. Southeastern Community College players bring your favorite holiday movie to life on stage at the Capitol! Tickets are $10 each, $5 for students.

Hurricane Ruth at 7 p.m. at The Washington. With blues roots and a rock & roll heart, Beardstown, Illinois, native Hurricane Ruth might just blow the doors off The Washington with her great big voice. Weird Harold’s 50th Anniversary from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Weird Harold’s Records. Weird Harold’s is the home of all things recorded music – not to mention t-shirts, posters, costume accessories, jewelry, artwork and all sorts of whatnots. And it’s old! Come celebrate: bargains, prizes, snacks … and whatnot.

Toys for Tots Chili Cook-Off from 11 a.m. to 3p.m. at Heartland Harley Davidson. Warm up with some tasty chili and warm the hearts of local tots this holiday season. All proceeds from this delicious event go to the Marine Corps League’s Toys 4 Tots program.

Meat Frenzy at 1 p.m. at Farney’s on Jefferson Street. It’s a feeding frenzy at Farney’s. OK, it’s really just a meat raffle with a cool name. Have fun, get meat: it’s a win/win.
