Planning to take in a spring training game? You need to know a few things

Put down the popcorn and grab some Cracker Jack.

Baseball is back.

With spring training games about to begin, you may need a fan’s guide to the action. Tickets, key games, locations — there’s certainly a lot to unpack.

But don’t think of this as just for Miami Marlins fans. Out-of-towners are descending on Florida to follow their teams (and escape the cold up North).

So, if you’re a fan of the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Houston Astros and Washington Nationals, don’t worry. We have some information for you, too.

Miami Marlins

Marlins fans in Miami-Dade and Broward won’t have to travel too far.

All 18 of the Marlins’ home games will be at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter. The team’s spring training schedule begins Sunday against the Nationals and ends March 22 against the Astros.

Tickets can be found from $15 through MLB and My Pro Venue.

Season parking passes cost $120 and can be purchased by contacting the stadium ticket office at 561-630-1828. Individual games can be bought at the ticket window on site or by calling 561-775-1818. Single-game parking in the preferred area costs $10.

Key Games: Nationals (Feb. 23, March 3, 10 and 16), Astros (Feb. 28, March 17 and 22) and Yankees (March 11)

Boston Red Sox

Red Sox fans, get ready to make the trek to Southwest Florida.

Beginning Friday against Northeastern University, all 18 home games will be held at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers. The Red Sox will play their final game against the Atlanta Braves on March 24.

Act fast — tickets can be found for as low as $2.50 through MLB and My Pro Venue.

Key Games: Philadelphia Phillies (Feb. 27), Yankees (Feb. 29), Braves (March 1, 24) and Minnesota Twins (March 8, 22)

Houston Astros

The Astros might be the most hated team in baseball. So if you want to shower them with boos, make plans on traveling to West Palm Beach.

FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches will host 15 of the Astros’ 17 home games. They’ll play their remaining two at Minute Maid Park in Houston.

The Astros’ 15-game stint in West Palm begins Saturday against the Nationals and ends March 20 when they take on the Braves.

Some tickets start as low as $15 and can be purchased through MLB and My Pro Venue.

Key Games: Nationals (Feb. 22, March 11 and 19), Red Sox (March 14) and Braves (March 20)

New York Yankees

Checking out the most successful club in baseball history won’t be easy.

The Yankees will play their home games at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa. Their 16-game schedule begins Saturday afternoon against the Toronto Blue Jays and ends March 22 against the Detroit Tigers.

Tickets to see the Bronx Bombers are noticeably more expensive. The cheapest option will be purchasing the Steinbrenner Field Pinstripe Pass, which starts at $17 and includes a standing room ticket plus a free drink, according to Ticketmaster.

Key Games: Nationals (Feb. 26), Red Sox (March 3), Phillies (March 4 and 14), Braves (March 8) and Twins (March 15)

Washington Nationals

Go on the wrong day to boo the Astros and you’ll be at a Nats game.

FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches houses the Nationals in addition to the Astros. Washington’s slate of 15 home games begins Sunday with the rematch of the 2019 World Series and ends March 22 against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Nationals fans will be excited to learn their club’s ticket prices didn’t suffer from the post-championship hike. Cheaper tickets cost roughly $15.

Key Games: Astros (Feb. 23, 27 and March 18) and Yankees (March 12)
