Planning to watch the 2022 FIFA World Cup? Lower.com Field to host free watch parties
Even through the Columbus Crew's offseason, Lower.com Field aims to be the center of soccer fandom in Columbus this winter.
The Pub and Community Plaza at Lower.com Field will host free watch parties for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Starting with a Community Kickoff event Nov. 20, which will show the tournament's opening match between Qatar and Ecuador, Lower.com Field will air 54 matches representing 32 countries over the course of 22 days, ending with the World Cup final Dec. 18.
The Pub and Community Plaza will open one hour prior to kickoff each day. The pub menu will feature morning continental breakfasts and daily specials, along with on-site specialty food trucks spotlighting the countries that are playing.

The Community Kickoff event will also host the MLS NEXT Pro Cup champions Crew 2, while children from the club's community partners will be invited to play on the Lower.com Field pitch.
Lower.com Field will also host a "Gold Friday" event Nov. 25 for the United States' match against England.
