In the last 20 years, the number of seniors getting plastic surgery has doubled, but is going under the knife for cosmetic reasons after 60 a good idea? The Doctors examine the trend that shows no sign of slowing down!

In addition to Botox and face lifts, seniors are getting all the latest procedures including Brazilian butt lifts and breast augmentations. The Doctors welcome plastic surgeon Dr. Sheila Nazarian and her patient Laura, who at 61 spent an impressive $55,000 on numerous procedures including a tummy tuck, breast lift, facelift, liposuction in numerous area and eyelid lift.

Laura explains that she waited until she was 62 because she was busy with her family and focused most of her attention on raising her kids. “I wanted to live my life, I didn’t want to sit home anymore… I’m very happy. I lost 40 pounds before I did this. I did it to be healthier too,” she says.

Dr. Nazarian stresses that regardless of the age of a patient, that safety is of the utmost importance and each person needs to be deemed a viable candidate for surgery and be given medical clearance.
