A Plastic Water Bottle Somehow Made It Into the Game of Thrones Finale

This post contains spoilers for the series finale of Game of Thrones. Consider yourself warned.

Well, it's finally over. Game of Thrones has ended, and we know what becomes of the Iron Throne, the Starks, and even Drogon…well, kind of. (Hope you're doing OK out there, buddy.) Of course, fans had immediate—and strong—reactions to the way showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff chose to end the epic series. Fans had another gripe beyond how their favorite characters were portrayed: They also spotted one last "oops" moment in Game of Thrones—a plastic water bottle where it shouldn't be, much like the Starbucks cup that came before it.

It happens in a scene in which the most powerful remaining people in Westeros have gathered together to decide who shall rule and what to do with prisoners Tyrion Lannister and Jon Snow. While they're discussing the idea of democracy, there is a plastic water bottle just behind Samwell Tarly's foot. Yes, really.

Take a look for yourself, below, or forward to around the 46:19 mark in the episode.

Chances are these sorts of "mistakes" have happened many times in the show's history. It's somewhat understandable given the expansive productions and number of extras often involved. But the Internet detectives out there have also become very good at finding these moments over the show's run. "They should’ve made the water bottle king of Westeros," one fan wrote on Twitter. "Are you trying to tell me the 3 eyed raven didn’t see this shit coming? All hail Bran the Broken, first of his name, ruler of 6 of the 7 realms, 3 eyes, 2 wheels and 1 water bottle. May his reign be long and recyclable," another joked.

HBO eventually scrubbed the coffee cup from that episode and released a funny response stating that "the latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.”

No word yet on Sam's water bottle.
