Burlington Mall Gun Show hosted by Militia Armaments Gun Club is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Westland Mall, 550 S. Gear Ave., West Burlington. All-weekend general admission is $10.

Transitions DMC, 515 S. Main St., emergency homeless shelter open house is 1-4 p.m. The shelter can house 13 people nightly. The community is invited.

Steamboat Senior Center, 501 Jefferson St., Jam Band will play from 1-3 p.m. The noon meal will be a potluck. Weekly activities have a $2 cover charge.

Snake Alley Criterium is 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The criterium is an incredibly challenging bicycle race centered around Burlington's historic Snake Alley, 276 feet of century-old bricks set in 5 switchbacks that climb more than 60 feet in one block. For a map, visit snakealleycriterium.com

Monday, May 30

Burlington Area Veterans Council Memorial Day ceremony is 10:30 a.m. at Burlington Memorial Auditorium. Coffee will be served before the service, and after the service, coffee and donuts will be served.

Moose Lodge 579, 2529 Mount Pleasant St. Memorial Day Picnic will serve Chicken fish, Potato Salad, Baked Beans, spring Salad. Serving starts at 11:45 a.m., Cake walk is 1 p.m., bingo starts at 2 p.m. There will be raffles.

Nauvoo, Illinois, special Memorial Day picnic with music performances and a patriotic flag ceremony, sponsored by Nauvoo Betterment Association, is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meal cost is a freewill donation.
