Playa Bowls to open first location in this Central Jersey township next month

WOODBRIDGE – Playa Bowls, which offers acai and pitaya bowls topped with fruit and other ingredients at more than 170 locations, is opening its first township location in mid-May at 97 Main St.

The quick-casual eatery’s menu also includes smoothies, juices, coffee, oatmeal bowls and coconut bowls amid beach-themed décor.

The Woodbridge location is owned by Leonard and Raquel Calvo.

Playa Bowls was founded by Robert Giuliani and Abby Taylor, Jersey Shore natives and longtime surfers who were inspired to create Playa Bowls after visiting international surfing towns that offered their own version of acai and pitaya bowls.
