Player grades: Clutch free throws from OKC help knock off Bulls in OT

The Chicago Bulls fell in overtime to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday, 123-119.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander hit five clutch free throws in the final minute of overtime to knock off the Bulls.

The Bulls entered the fourth quarter down by seven points but Zach LaVine led the way in the final 12 minutes, scoring 12 points to help lead the Bulls into overtime before falling in the extra minutes.

DeMar DeRozan led the way for Chicago with 30 points, four rebounds, six assists, and two steals.

Zach LaVine added 27 points, five rebounds, and five assists while hitting 4-of-11 from 3-point range.

DeMar DeRozan: A-

DeRozan led the way for the Bulls with 30 points, four rebounds, six assists, and two steals on 12-of-27 from the field. In overtime, DeRozan scored all nine of the Bulls’ points as the remainder of the team went 0-of-5 in the extra period.

Zach LaVine: A-

Zach LaVine finished Friday’s loss with 27 points, five rebounds, and five assists while hitting 4-of-11 from 3-point range, including 12 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Bulls into overtime. In OT, LaVine went cold, going 0-of-3 from the field as the Thunder got the win.

Nikola Vucevic: B

Nikola Vucevic finished with 13 points, 13 rebounds, and three assists in Saturday’s loss to the Thunder. Vooch shot well from inside the arc at 5-of-7 but struggled from 3-point range in the loss, hitting just 1-of-7 attempts

Ayo Dosunmu: C+

Ayo Dosunmu finished with seven points, three rebounds, four assists, and one steal in 25 minutes on Friday. Dosunmu got into early foul trouble, getting two fouls in the first quarter which put him on the bench quicker than usual.

Patrick Williams: B

Patrick Williams was consistent yet again for the Bulls, finishing with 11 points, six rebounds, one assist, and two blocks. Williams hit 4-of-7 shots including a perfect 3-of-3 from downtown. In his last six games, Williams is averaging 11.8 points per game while scoring in double-figures in five of the last six.

Alec Caruso: B+

Alex Caruso played 28 minutes on Friday, finishing with 12 points, two rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block off the bench. Caruso hit 4-of-5 shots including 2-of-2 from 3-point range.
