EVANSVILLE — Just two more weeks are all that separates us from the high school football postseason in Indiana. But as the action heats up, so do the impressive performances in our area.

Which one will get your vote for Week 7?

Here are the nominees:

DeShawnDre Brown, Harrison

The sophomore went off in his first career start at quarterback tossing three touchdowns with 187 yards while also rushing for 173 yards and two scores in a 42-7 win over Central.

Jayce Perkins, Jasper

The senior had 25 carries for 142 yards and three touchdowns while also scoring the game-winning 2-point conversion as the Wildcats outlasted Castle 43-42 in an OT thriller.

Reitz defense/special teams

The Panthers had five sacks, three interceptions and a blocked punt for a touchdown in a 28-17 victory against Memorial.

Devan Roberts, Gibson Southern

The senior finished with 121 rushing yards and four touchdowns as the Titans defeated Mount Vernon 35-7.

Angelo St. Louis, North

The senior scored the game-winning touchdown with 1:25 to play and had 189 rushing yards and two scores for the Huskies in a 17-14 victory at Vincennes Lincoln.

Liam Stone, North Posey

The junior rushed for 255 yards and scored all four touchdowns for the Vikings in a 28-20 win at Forest Park.
