Who is playing at Sacramento’s Ace of Spades this spring? Lineup includes some big names

Popular names in R&B, hip hop, metal and rock are coming to Sacramento’s Ace of Spades this spring.

One of the top live entertainment venues, Ace of Spades has hosted big names before, including Jack Harlow, alt band Cold War Kids and Summer Walker.

Emotional Oranges

7 p.m., Tuesday, March 28

R&B and pop group Emotional Oranges are on its “The Pulp Fiction” tour. Tickets are still on sale. General admission starts at $32.

An Evening with Black Flag

7 p.m., Friday, March 31

The hardcore punk band Black Flag from Hermosa Beach is stopping in Sacramento. Tickets start at $27.50.

SacTown Funk - Battle of the Bands

7 p.m., Saturday, April 1

This weekend, multiple bands will duel it out for the Battle of the Bands. Acts are subject to change, according to Live Nation, and they include SOLSA with Brandi Jauregui, Midnight Players, Sugar High and Adam Aldama and the Aces.

Tickets start at $40.

Freddie Gibbs

7 p.m., Sunday, April 2

Freddie Gibbs is known for his rap, underground hip hop and trap beats.

Tickets for his show start at $32.50.

Babyface Ray

7 p.m., Thursday, April 6

Babyface Ray made his name with tracks such as “Ron Artest” and “What The Business Is.”

The rapper recently released a new single, “2 Million Up.”

Pop Evil

6:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 11

Hard rock band Pop Evil is stopping by Sacramento for its “Skeletons” tour.

Elderbrook

7 p.m., Wednesday, April 12

Elderbrook, singer-songwriter, is releasing a new album called “Little Love” on Friday.

He’s going on tour for the album. Tickets for the show start at $25.

Big Wild

7 p.m., Thursday, April 13

Dance and electronic artist Big Wild is known for his album “Superdream,” which houses hit tracks such as “6’s to 9’s” and “Awaken.”

He’s on tour for his new record “The Efferusphere.” Tickets start at $50.

Spiritbox

6 p.m., Friday, April 14

Metal band Spiritbox is playing a show with The Burial and Intervals.

Chelsea Grin

6 p.m., Saturday, April 15

Chelsea Grin is a deathcore band from Utah.

7 p.m., Sunday, April 16

Ville Valo, or VV, is on his “Neon Noir” tour. General admission starts at $55.

Static-X

6 p.m., Monday, April 17

Metal band Static-X is playing Ace of Spades for its “Rise of the Machine” tour. Resale tickets start at $67.

Pouya

6 p.m. Tuesday, April 18 and Wednesday, April 19

Coming from the underground rap scene in South Florida, Pouya went from releasing tracks on SoundCloud to owning five studio albums.

He’s on his “All But 6” tour with rappers Fat Nick and Kxllswxtch. They’re in town for two nights. Tickets start at $30.

Tech N9ne

6 p.m., Thursday, April 20

Tech N9ne’s made a lucrative career as a rapper and songwriter, as well as a record producer for the label Strange Music.

Wage War

6 p.m, Friday, April 23

Metal band Wage War is on “The Manic” tour.

Tennis

7 p.m., Tuesday, April 25

Indie pop duo Tennis is from Denver, Colorado.

Rock band ATREYU is playing in Sacramento with guests Point North and Within Destruction.
