Pleasantville woman killed in 2-vehicle crash on Ohio 204

WALNUT TOWNSHIP – The Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash that occurred around 12:22 p.m. Wednesday on Ohio 204 at the intersection of Lake Road in Walnut Township.

John D. Reedy, 61, of Thornville, was traveling east on Ohio 204 in a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. Marilyn M. Klose, 63, of Pleasantville, as traveling north on Lake Road in a 2017 Kia Forte when she failed to yield to Reedy from a stop sign at Ohio 204. Klose’s vehicle was struck by the Chevrolet Silverado, according to the patrol.

Klose was transported to Fairfield Medical Center by Walnut Township Fire Department with serious injuries where she later passed away. Reedy was transported to Fairfield Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Both drivers were wearing their safety belts at the time of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
