Look, we're not accustomed to New Zealand's TV scene, but the cliffhanger ending to an episode of the country's biggest (and possibly only) soap opera Shortland Street makes us wish we were.

With the crescendo of drums at the ending, New Zealanders (and now the world) have been gripped by this epic cliffhanger on Friday.

Is it the boy's penis on the tablet? What if it is? If not his, whose? So many questions. But one thing's for sure, New Zealand television has reached incredible new highs.
