So many of us taking have three square meals a day for granted. In Nashville, one in 7 people lacks access to enough food to sustain a healthy lifestyle. At the same time more than 40 percent of all the food in our city goes to waste. The Nashville Food Project was founded on the idea that all people should have access to the food they want and need. In the midst of the pandemic and the aftermath of the recent tornado they’ve come up with ways to continue to serve the community. On today's show we are joined by Elizabeth Langgle Martin, who is the community engagement manager for The Nashville Food Project.
