Presented by Pushcart Prize winning poet David Hornibrook, this workshop is for beginning or experienced writers or anyone who is interested in exploring the use of language as a creative process. The workshop will focus on the process of generating a poem and practice drawing from a wide range of sources to create new work that is meaningful and surprising.

Participants can expect to produce a lot of writing and will experiment with different ways of thinking about what a poem can be. Along the way, the group will also read and interact with a variety of different poems, pieces of music and visual art. Although the focus is on generating new work, the workshop will also incorporate strategies for revision, and participants will receive individual and peer feedback as well as a list of personalized recommendations for further reading upon conclusion.

The workshop fee is $180 per person, and is recommend for ages 16 and up.
