Point Pleasant Beach Summer Camp Canceled After COVID Concerns
POINT PLEASANT BEACH – Point Pleasant Beach has canceled its summer camp program after concerns arose over a counselor's possible exposure to the coronavirus.
The program was canceled after the counselor wasn't truthful about possible exposure to the coronavirus, officials said.
The counselor reported on July 13, but a test came in the following day that was positive.
The borough canceled the camp for a week, but then decided to cancel for the remainder of the summer, officials said.
The counselor eventually took a test that was negative.
The camp was supposed to run to August 21.
