Point Pleasant Boro Issues Halloween Rules And Guidelines

POINT PLEASANT BORO – Point Pleasant Boro has issued Halloween rules, guidelines and tips for anyone who is planning to trick-or-treat.

The guidelines and rules mirror what was already issued by the state Department of Health, but the community has established some locally specific steps for parents and children to follow.

Here are the rules, guidelines and tips:

  • Trick-or-treating is allowed.

  • Point Pleasant Boro does not restrict trick-or-treating to any specific hours during the day on Halloween.

  • However, the Boro does have a curfew in place.

  • Anyone under 17 years old is prohibited from being out in a public or quasi-public place without a parent or guardian on Oct. 29th, 30th and 31st between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

  • It is recommended that if you are going to accommodate trick-or-treaters, you should leave your porch light on as a sign that trick-or-treaters are welcome.
