Pointe Coupee residents asked to share ideas for park improvement project

POINTE COUPEE PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — Residents in Pointe Coupee Parish have until the end of February to share their ideas for what they would like to see in False River Park and the multi-use center.

Director of Parks and Recreation Paul Armand said the False River Park Masterplan is a comprehensive plan that covers all areas of the park. This includes the master gardener’s facility and the Pointe Coupee Parish Multi-Use Center.

In October, the park was given a makeover with more recreational spaces and better facilities.

“We are asking residents to fill out the survey to get an idea of what the public would like to see in the park,” Armand said. “Any improvements or renovations.”

The online survey asks how often a resident visits the park and to rate the maintenance of the facilities and equipment. Armand said there is also a comment section for anything the survey didn’t cover.

Armand said they haven’t seen the data since it’s being collected by a third-party firm.

“The more residents we get to complete the survey the better plan we can put together for the public,” Armand said.

The survey can be completed here.
