Poland has handed over nearly all of its MiG-29s, but can’t provide F-16s, says Duda

"We are ready to support the training of Ukrainian pilots — I have been discussing this for some time with Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak,” he said.
“However, the number of F-16 aircraft at Poland's disposal is insufficient.”
Earlier, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated that several countries are ready to provide Ukraine with the fighter jets – known as the “fighter coalition.”
Poland, for its part, has so far handed over ten MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine, Blaszczak said on May 8. Slovakia has transferred all of its thirteen promised MiG-29 fighters over to Ukraine as well. These two countries are the first NATO members to have provided Ukraine with combat aircraft.
The Ukrainian Air Force considers the modernized Soviet-era MiG-29 fighters to be a serious combat asset, though, they are unlikely to lead to any significant changes at the front. According to Ukrainian officials, Ukraine needs modern combat aircraft in order to contest Russian air superiority.
