Poland ready to transfer 60 PT-91 tanks, 14 Leopard tanks to Ukraine
According to him, it is important for the Ukrainian army to have tanks, as Russia has up to 15,000 in storage.
“If we don't want Ukraine to be defeated, we have to be very much open and brave in supporting Ukraine,” Morawiecki stated.
“And I think if Europe wants to have stable and long term growth, stability and development in a peaceful way, we have to fend off all those barbaric attacks by the Russians.”
He noted that Poland was the first country to supply 250 tanks to Ukraine and is currently taking a number of steps to ensure that different countries join the international coalition to deliver Leopard 2 tanks.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Morawiecki for the decision to provide the tanks.

"Just like 160 years ago, we are together, but this time the enemy has no chance,” President Zelenskyy wrote on Twitter, in Polish.
“Together we will win!”
On Jan. 25, Germany, after numerous delays, approved the transfer of 14 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, and their re-export from partner countries.
After that, a number of countries announced that they would be supplying Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported that Poland was exporting 14 Leopard 2s, while Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said that the country plans to train a tank brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the end of March.
