He said that Poland has done everything possible to equip a battalion of Leopard-2 tanks.

"This is how we’re support Ukraine within the international coalition," he said.

“In addition to the 14 Polish Leopard-2 tanks, this battalion also includes eight tanks from Canada and Norway, as well as six from Spain.”

Blaszczak mentioned that after his conversation with Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles, Spain could provide Ukraine with four more Leopard-2 tanks.

The first four Leopard tanks from Poland arrived in Ukraine on Feb. 24.

Blaszczak announced on Feb. 15 that Ukraine’s allies had formed a battalion of Leopard 2A4 tanks for Ukraine.

Earlier, U.S. Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin indicated that several allies would contribute Leopard-2 tanks to Ukraine, including Canada, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, and Spain.

Ukraine expects to receive 120-140 Western tanks in the first wave, said Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelenskyy has said that Ukrainian forces require 300-500 tanks for an offensive to liberate more Ukrainian territory from Russian occupation.
