The leader of the opposition Civic Platform, Donald Tusk, accused the Polish government of inaction regarding the border blockade with Ukraine, urging the halt of the protest by carriers, during a Nov. 28 briefing in parliament.

Leaders of the outgoing Law and Justice party "cynically and very amateurishly played the Ukrainian card," Tusk said. He called for urgent steps to protect Poland's national interests.

"Since they pretend to be creating a real government now, they could pretend to deal with real problems. Such inaction cannot be excused because we are jeopardizing Polish-Ukrainian relations and neglecting Polish interests.”

As the incoming head of the government, Tusk might face this problem in two weeks. He has already planned a meeting with experts and politicians to help resolve the issue of carriers and the blockade at the Ukrainian border.
