Police: 15-year-old killed by brother in apparent murder-suicide
Police said a 15-year-old is dead after an apparent murder-suicide in Columbia on Tuesday. Howard County police said officers responded to the 5200 block of Five Fingers Way in Columbia at around 1 p.m. for a report of two victims with gunshot wounds. Preliminary investigation led police to believe Michael Bassler, 25, shot and killed his brother Stephen Bassler, 15, and then shot himself. Both lived at the house where the incident occurred.
