Police: 18-year-old found dead after shooting in Fairfield

An 18-year-old man was found dead Thursday in Fairfield, Ohio after officers responded to a reported shooting, according to police.

Officers responded to the shooting around 12:11 p.m. at the 5000 block of Planet Drive, the Fairfield Police Department said in a news release.

Police said the victim was found inside a residence. The circumstances surrounding his death are being investigated.

The people involved have been identified, police said, adding no arrests have been made.
