Police: 5 arrested in connection with Blue Ash theft investigation

Police arrested five people from out of state Monday following an investigation into mailbox theft in Blue Ash, officials said.

A resident called Blue Ash police around 12:06 p.m. after she spotted a man going through her mail, police said in a news release.

Officials said the resident provided a vehicle description and license plate number to police, who later observed the vehicle at the Red Roof Inn on 5900 Pfeiffer Road.

Officers recovered a loaded firearm, narcotics and narcotics paraphernalia from the hotel room, according to the release.

The five people arrested by Blue Ash police include:

  • Jazmine Monet Jackson of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

  • Johntavious West of Atlanta.

  • Denise Mayfield of Leeds, Alabama.

  • Armand Anthony Brooks of Stone Mountain, Georgia.

  • Roderick Lamar Davis of Atlanta.

All of the suspects face charges of forgery and possession of criminal tools. Davis is also charged with obstructing official business.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and more charges may be filed.
