Police: 82-year-old woman dies days after Crescent Springs crash

A Northern Kentucky woman died four days after a single-vehicle crash in Crescent Springs, according to Villa Hills police.

Officials said the crash occurred around 3:03 p.m. on Sept. 17 at the 700 block of Bromley Crescent Springs Road.

A preliminary investigation found a woman was driving south in a 2010 Toyota Corolla when she veered off the right side of the road and ran over a large piece of wood that was in the grass, police said in a news release.

A passenger in the vehicle, Rosemary Newberry, 82, of Florence, suffered injuries caused by the force of the impact.

Newberry was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood for treatment, police said. She was later transferred to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where she died on Wednesday.

Police said the driver didn't sustain any injuries. Villa Hills police are reviewing the collision to assist with determining a cause and contributing factors.
