Apr. 15—Police seek info on alleged harassment

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a harassment complaint.

Someone created a fake Instagram profile for a 14-year-old White Haven girl and sent multiple harassing messages to juveniles pretending to been the teenager. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at Fern Ridge at 570-646-2771.

Cops seize over 4 pounds of drugs

Pennsylvania State Police found more than four pounds of drugs when they stopped a vehicle on Interstate 80 east on April 5, court papers say.

They also arrested two people.

Victor M. Jimenez, 26, and Destinee J. Sanchez, 24, both of New York, New York, each face two counts manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to deliver and one count each possession of a controlled substance and use or possession of drug paraphernalia by the Pennsylvania State Police SHIELD unit.

Both of their bails were set at $200,000 each Friday by Magisterial District Judge Joseph Carmody, West Pittston.

Jimenez was driving a vehicle troopers stopped for dark window tint on Interstate 80 in Butler Twp. at 6:45 p.m. Sanchez was the passenger. Troopers said they had to call for a K9 to search the vehicle and obtained a search warrant before finding 2 kilograms of cocaine mixed with a cutting agent in vacuum sealed bags in the trunk. A vacuum sealer and a roll of vacuum seal bags were found in Sanchez's luggage, court papers state.

Woman faces drug charges

A Lansford woman faces drug violations after a Jan. 11 tip was given to borough police.

Katelyn A. Roth, 32, was charged with manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and use or possession of drug paraphernalia by Lansford police. The case was filed against her March 11 and her bail was set at $3,000 by Magisterial District Judge Casimir Kosciolek, Lansford, on March 31.

Police said they were told she was on her way back home to the unit block of East Ridge Street from Hazleton, where she just bought a large amount of heroin. Arrest papers state police intercepted the car she was inside, finding 1.76 grams of meth, 0.96 grams of marijuana, 229 packets containing a powder, prescription pills and paraphernalia.
