Police: ‘Armed and dangerous’ suspect wanted after St. Louis shooting

ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help with finding a shooting suspect who is considered to be “armed and dangerous.”

Police released several surveillance photos of the suspect on Friday. An unidentified man, the suspect is wanted in connection with a shooting earlier this month at a St. Louis gas station parking lot.

Investigators say a 32-year-old woman was shot around 2 a.m. on April 13 in the 4300 block of South Broadway, located in St. Louis’ Mt. Pleasant neighborhood.

Police say the woman and the suspect were engaged in an argument when the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the woman in the lower back. The suspect reportedly took off in a white Chevrolet sedan and fled the scene.

The woman has been treated for critical injuries at a hospital.

Police shared surveillance photos of the suspect in a black jacket, blue jeans and a pink beanie hat, in addition to the wanted Chevrolet sedan that did not have a front license plate.
