Police arrest 2 teens accused of stealing car with 3-year-old girl inside

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – More than two months after a 3-year-old girl was abducted inside a stolen car, authorities say they have arrested the two teenagers responsible.

On the morning of Nov. 30, 2023, a father left his daughter inside a car to stop into their Northeast Portland home. When he returned, he saw a man in a beanie get into the driver’s seat and take off.

That evening, officers found the car in the area of Southeast Morrison Terrace and 202nd Avenue in Gresham.

Detectives spent the following months tracking down those responsible, eventually identifying two teenagers from Portland, police said. Their names have not been released to the public.
