Police arrest, charge Oak Park Middle School teacher with sexual battery on boy
GROVELAND — Lake County Sheriff’s Office deputies have arrested an Oak Park Middle School teacher, Keith R. Moulton, and charged him with sexual battery on a boy older than 12 but younger than 18.
According to an arrest affidavit released by the sheriff’s office Thursday, the abuse took place at his home in Groveland between April 21 and 23.

The boy told investigators “Mr. Keith” attempted to touch his penis when he went to the bathroom. Later, that same day, he said he needed to talk to him. He said the 35-year-old took him into the bedroom, pushed him down and put his penis into his mouth against his will.
The boy said he did not tell the adult he was with because he didn’t want him “to get into a fight with Mr. Keith.”
That was on a Saturday. His first day back at school, he told a school resource officer. He was taken to the Child Advocacy Center where he was questioned by a forensic interviewer.
Moulton denied trying to touch the boy in the bathroom, but claimed his penis accidentally brushed up against the boy’s mouth while “wrestling” with him.
Lake school district spokeswoman Sherri Owens said Moulton is a first-year teacher who teaches “intensive math.”
“He has been alternatively placed, and we are recommending termination,” she said in a written statement. “The board will consider that recommendation at the School Board meeting on Monday. There are no prior discipline reports in his file.”
His Facebook page said he taught at Lake Academy from 2018-2021.
