Police ask for help: 'Undetermined amount of gemstones' stolen from vehicle in Smithfield
SMITHFIELD − The Smithfield police are asking for the public's help in finding out who stole gemstones and jewelry from a parked vehicle Wednesday.
It happened in the parking lot of Dave's Marketplace at 371 Putnam Pike.
The police responded to the report at about 4:25 p.m. and say an "undetermined amount of gemstones and jewelry" was stolen.
Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 401-231-2500.
