Police Blotter: Feb 15 - 22

Feb. 23—DICKINSON — The Dickinson Police Department responded to numerous calls for service over the past week, and these are just a few highlights of the incidents that occurred. Unless otherwise specified, all suspects named are Dickinson residents.

12:52 p.m. Officers received report of shoplifting at Menards.

2:17 p.m. A woman came to the Public Safety Center and asked officers what she can do about a potentially volatile situation with her boyfriend when she breaks up with him. She was advised to call for assistance if needed when the time comes.

3:13 p.m. A 15 year old male was cited for Possession of Tobacco after he was allegedly caught with a vaping device by Dickinson High School officials.

3:40 p.m. A U-Haul truck reported stolen out of California and recovered in Dickinson was returned to Mac's Hardware after being held at East End Auto since Dec. 2022. Manager was advised to contact the California store for more information on the case.

4:40 p.m. An alleged burglary occurred in the 800 block of Box Ave. Entry was made through a window while the homeowner was out of town. A child's wooden toy chest was stolen along with a piggy bank. Loss estimated at $700. Matter remains under investigation.

6:23 p.m. Milton Smith, 37, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct at a business located at 71 Museum Dr.

9:45 p.m. In northwest Dickinson a woman requested police remove her son from her apartment. Officer stood by so he could gather his belongings without incident.

8:44 a.m. Woman called asking how she could get her motorcycle back from an ex-boyfriend. She was advised this is a civil matter and police could not force him to return it without a court order.

11:32 a.m. In northeast Dickinson an individual reported receiving a threatening text message from someone claiming to represent a cartel. Officer advised him to block the number.

12:43 p.m. Shane Purcell, 30, was arrested on a Missouri warrant bearing full extradition for charges of larceny and theft.

2:18 p.m. On Fairway Street a foot patrol was conducted to find a juvenile who could not be located.

3:43 p.m. In southwest Dickinson a 15 year old male was cited for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Driving Without a Valid License.

5:58 p.m. Fraudulent checks reported on State Ave. N. Case forwarded to Criminal Investigation Division.

7:21 p.m. Suitcase turned in to police after being left by a Lyft passenger who left the state. Item placed in lost & found for safekeeping.

7:59 p.m. Julian Montez, 22, was arrested for Cocaine — Delivery/Possession with Intent, a class A felony, and Possession of Schedule 1, 2 and 3 drugs (THC oil). Stark County Assistant State's Attorney Amy Pikovsky charged him with a class A misdemeanor for Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver or Manufacture, and an additional infraction for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

8:18 p.m. Belfield man Chase Russell, 39, arrested for and charged with the class A misdemeanors Possession of a Controlled Substance — Methamphetamine and Fraudulent Practices in Urine Testing. He also had a Stark County warrant for Failure to Appear on a prior charge for Driving Under Suspension.

2:24 a.m. Disorderly male reported outside Best Budget Inn. He could not be located upon arrival.

7 a.m. Report of a lost child found walking outside on 1st St. W.

1:01 p.m. Canine sniff conducted at Trinity High School upon request of principal. Nothing was found.

2:12 p.m. Lucien Luyssaert, 37, arrested on a Dickinson Municipal warrant for Driving Under Revocation. Luyssaert posted a $300 cash bond.

2:32 p.m. A man named Delaine Miller, 56, was arrested on a Stark County warrant for class A misdemeanor Menacing.

3:23 p.m. Counterfeit $100 bill reported in deposit at Dakota Community Bank & Trust on 3rd Ave. W.

3:49 p.m. On State Ave. North a woman reported that her son purchased THC vape cartridges from her neighbor.

4:49 p.m. Jayden Schmidt, 27, was issued a citation with a promise to appear for Driving Under Revocation.

7:08 p.m. Complaint of a dog pooping in neighbor's yard on G Street. Reporting party did not seek prosecution, only wanted it to stop. Officer advised dog owner of complaint, who denied prior knowledge of the issue. Owner was educated on potential civil violations and was issued a verbal warning.

11:06 a.m. California man Craig Scott, 46, was arrested on McLean County warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance — Marijuana. Scott posted a $100 bond.

3:29 p.m. Adam Shuman, 33, was arrested for class C felony Terrorizing.

3:33 p.m. Gail Ellis, 36, Armando Cruz, 42, McKayla Janzen, 20, and Jesus Torres, 20, were issued trespass warnings at the request of the Red Roof Inn.

8:43 p.m. Ethan Peacock, 29, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence following a two vehicle accident. Peacock posted a $500 bond.

12:01 a.m. Prisma Alarcon, 29, and Briann Kreiss, 29, were arrested for tumultuous conduct/fighting at Army's West Sports Bar, and face formal class B misdemeanor charges of Disorderly Conduct. Both were also issued trespass warnings at the request of Army's.

12:19 a.m. Emily Dukart, 28, was arrested for tumultuous fighting at Bernie's Esquire Club. She was formally charged with the class B misdemeanors Disorderly Conduct and Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test.

3:38 a.m. At Sierra Ridge Apartments an individual requested their roommate be removed. The individual was advised of the eviction process.

12:21 p.m. Officers responded to Dunham's Sporting Goods after report of an individual using narcotics in the restroom. The 20 year old woman was issued a warning for trespassing.

12:25 p.m. A small child was reported holding a knife on the third floor balcony at a Prairie Avenue apartment.

1:30 p.m. Amos Shetler, 33, was arrested on a Stark County order to apprehend petition for revocation of probation for the original charge of DUI 1st offense 0.16 or greater BAC.

1:47 p.m. Officers responded to the report of a man inhaling compressed air at Subway inside Walmart. Joshua Hodson, 30, was arrested for the class A misdemeanor Inhalation of Vapors — Volatile Chemicals.

6:08 p.m. A Ford F-350 struck a deer near 64 Palm Beach Rd. No injuries, no tows, no citations.

6:10 p.m. A male reported receiving threatening messages that explicit photos of him would be sent to friends and family if he did not send money. Male advised to block the individual.

6:17 p.m. A man requested permission to park his van and sleep in private parking lots. Police advised they cannot give those permissions and told him he must leave such a premises if asked.

8:28 a.m. Near the intersection of 20th St SW and Main St S officers attempted to stop a silver Honda. The vehicle failed to stop and increased speed. Officers did not pursue.

9:13 a.m. Call regarding a neighbor shoveling snow into the intersection in the 1400 block of 1st St W. No snow found in intersection upon arrival.

10:49 a.m. In northwest Dickinson a man called to report that his juvenile daughter was sexually assaulted.

11:19 a.m. Individual reported a package stolen from his residence in the 500 block of Colfax St.

4:14 p.m. At the intersection of 2nd Ave E and Villard St E a woman complained that a young male was drifting the corner in an old Ford truck. Officers spoke to juvenile's parents, who agreed to address the issue.

6:01 p.m. Jesus Torres, 20, was arrested for Criminal Trespass at Badlands Inn.

11:25 a.m. Shoplifting reported at Cashwise grocery store.

3:38 p.m. Woman requested assistance in retrieving belongings from ex-boyfriend. DPD's attempts to contact him were unsuccessful.

1:27 a.m. Paul Weidow, 32, was arrested for terrorizing, reckless endangerment and fleeing in a motor vehicle.

7:10 a.m. A man named Victory Enagbonro, 28, was cited for class B misdemeanor Criminal Trespass.

11:51 a.m. Welfare check conducted on elderly man in the 4700 block of 14th St W. Man transported to the emergency room via ambulance.

1:12 p.m. Two individuals reportedly left their vehicle in a snowbank in the 400 block of Custer St. Vehicle was located and towed due to traffic hazard.

6:48 p.m. Smells of marijuana reported at 10th Ave W apartment complex. Officer unable to locate source of the odor upon arrival.

10:38 p.m. On Meadows Drive a woman called to ask if she could discard the property of her roommate, who purportedly has not been home for a week. The woman was advised that she cannot.
