Police: Body found along I-275 in Miami Township

A man's body was found on along Interstate 275 Friday morning, according to the Miami Township Police Department.

Police were called around 8:20 a.m. for a report of a person laying on the side of the interstate at State Route 28, with officers arriving to find a man "deceased in a slumped position," Miami Township Police Chief Mike Mills said in a press release.

Mills said the man's vehicle was found a half mile away from where the body was found.

Detectives and the Clermont County Coroner's Office responded to the scene, Mills said, adding no trauma or "obvious signs of death" were seen and the body was taken for an autopsy.

Mills said that man is not from the the Greater Cincinnati area and his identity isn't being released until the family is notified. Police aren't releasing any additional information until the coroner's report and toxicology are complete.
