Police chase Thursday morning ends with crash into downtown Louisville building

A driver in a stolen vehicle crashed into the side of the Courtyard Marriott hotel on Thursday morning after a chase, according to Louisville Metro Police.

LMPD officers responded to the call about a crash at around 1:30 a.m. Thursday in the 100 block of S. 2nd St., according to Dwight Mitchell, a department spokesperson.

The chase started in Clarksville, Indiana, where town police were in pursuit of the vehicle and crossed the Clark Memorial Bridge. The crash resulted in non-fatal injuries to two minors. The patients were taken to Norton Children's Hospital, Mitchell said.

LMPD was not involved in the chase, according to Mitchell.
