Police continue to investigate shooting at Amazon fulfillment center in Euclid

Nov. 18—At approximately 1 a.m. on Nov. 17 an Amazon employee was shot in the leg by an unidentified shooter at the Amazon Fulfillment Center at 1155 Babbitt Road.

The Amazon facility immediately went into lockdown as Euclid Police were dispatched to the scene.

The victim was transported to the hospital, received treatment and is reportedly in stable condition.

"This was a senseless act of violence and we're thankful there weren't any serious injuries," said Sam Stephenson, an Amazon spokesperson. "We appreciate law enforcement's quick response and defer questions regarding the incident to the Euclid Police Department who are conducting the investigation."

Euclid Police declared the building safe to resume operations at 1:55 a.m. The shooter fled from the premises immediately and police are currently searching for him.
