Police discover body of male, female after responding to a shots fired call in Manor

Police found the bodies of a male and female after receiving a call about shots being fired at a home in Manor late Saturday night.

Manor Police said they initially discovered a female dead outside the home in the 12000 block of Riparian Road with "obvious trauma" to her body.

Officers believed there was a potentially armed suspect inside the home and began working with deputies from the Travis County Sheriff's Office to make entry into the house, authorities said. Law enforcement officials then discovered the body of a male with an apparent gunshot wound after entering the house.

No one else was injured, Manor Police said, and victim services coordinated with family members to take custody of the children in the home.

Police said there's no threat to the community and that it remains an active investigation.
