Police: Driver struck building in Peddler's Village

A Philadelphia man drove his car into a business at Peddler's Village on Saturday night, according to police.

Buckingham police said in a news release that Galina Vitalyeva, 62, drove his Nissan Altima into Sunflowers Boutique about 8:10 p.m. A pedestrian suffered a minor injury when they tried to get out of the way of the vehicle at the popular shopping destination.

No one was injured in the building, and the building sustained moderate damage from the crash, according to the release.

Police took Vitalyeva into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, the department said.

As of Monday, court records did not show any charges against Vitalyeva.
