Police: Drug deal gone bad in Wisconsin leads to shooting incident, one injured

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in southern Wisconsin are investigating a shooting incident that sent a victim to a hospital.

According to the Lake Geneva Police Department, officers were sent to a report of shots fired in the 1000 block of Bonnie Brae Lane. One victim was sent to a hospital.

Officials say that the initial information showed that the incident was a drug deal gone bad and the people involved know each other. One suspect allegedly may have fled on foot.

There was a shelter in place but was eventually lifted.

The shooting victim reportedly had non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities provided information on two possible suspects.

One suspect was reportedly wearing all dark clothing, including a dark face mask. There was also reportedly a second suspect driving a dark-colored SUV with heavily tinted windows.

Officials say that were was no physical description of the 2nd suspect.
