Funeral arrangements have been made for NYPD Officer Anastasios Tsakos, who was killed in the line of duty when he was struck by an alleged drunk driver on Tuesday.
KRISTINE JOHNSON: Funeral arrangements have been made for NYPD officer Anastasios Tsakos, killed in the line of duty when he was struck by an alleged drunk driver on Tuesday.
Officers lined the streets of Astoria today as Officer Tsakos' body was given a police escort for his final journey home to Long Island.
A viewing will be held on Monday at St. Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Shrine Church in Greenlawn, Suffolk County. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, also at that church.
Tsakos was a 14-year veteran of the NYPD, and he leaves behind a wife, a six-year-old daughter, and also a three-year-old son.
