Police: Family brings kids along to steal $15K of products from Marysville beauty store

Marysville police said a husband and wife had their two small children with them when they stole thousands of dollars’ worth of products from a beauty store.

The couple entered the Marysville Ulta beauty store on Oct. 20. Shortly after, they hid about 400 cosmetic products worth $15,500 and left the store in a white Toyota minivan, according to police.

An employee then called the Lynnwood Ulta store to warn employees that the couple could visit it next.

About 90 minutes later, the same couple walked into the Lynnwood Ulta store. Employees there called 911 and asked the couple to leave.

Lynnwood police officers quickly found the couple’s minivan and arrested the husband and wife for first-degree theft, a felony.

A search of the van revealed a large number of beauty products, as well as $2,200 in cash.

Ulta loss prevention officials told detectives that the couple is responsible for stealing about $22,000 worth of products from nine Ulta stores in multiple states.
