Police: Female in custody following stabbing of male in south Lansing

LANSING — A female was being held in connection with a stabbing Thursday on the city's south side.

Officers were called to a home in the 100 block of Moores River Drive about 4:30 p.m. and found a male with several stab wounds, Lansing Police Public Information Director Jordan Gulkis said in an email.

The victim was taken to a hospital by the Lansing Fire Department and was reported in stable condition, Gulkis said. A female was in custody, and there was no ongoing threat to public safety, she said.

Police did not say what might have led to the stabbing or release any information about the suspect or stabbing victim.
