Police, firefighters plan 'Trunk or Treat' event

MUNCIE, Ind. — Muncie police and firefighters will present their third annual "Trunk or Treat" event on Monday, Oct. 31, in the parking lot of City Hall, 300 N. High St.

Hours for the event are 6 to 8 p.m. Free hot dogs and popcorn will be offered while supplies last.

Stedman Graham to speak at Ball State

MUNCIE, Ind. — Author and business advisor Stedman Graham, a Ball State University graduate, will be the next featured speaker in the David Letterman Distinguished Professional Lecture and Workshop Series.

Graham's lecture, titled "Identity Leadership," is set for 7 p.m. on Oct. 19 at Sursa Performance Hall.

Delaware County Road 700-S closed to traffic

MUNCIE, Ind. — Delaware County Road 700-S will be closed to traffic, between Honey Creek Road and Delaware County Road 400-W, through Oct. 21.

A contractor is "replacing (a) large structure," according to a release from the Delaware County Engineering Department.

Wine tasting fundraiser planned Saturday

MUNCIE, Ind. — The public is invited to join the Soup Kitchen of Muncie for a "Sip for Soup" fundraiser at Tonne Winery, at Walnut Street and Royerton Road, 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15.

The event will feature wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres, live music with Doc Peterson and Friends, and a silent auction "offering plenty of opportunities to bid on fun, local experiences."

Soup Kitchen of Muncie specially labeled wine will be available for purchase. Non-alcoholic drinks will also be available.
