Police: Hate, Bias Not Motivation In Transgender Woman's Death

Police say the suspect and victim in the case knew one another.

--pertaining to the homicide of a transgender woman we told you about in New Wilmington last week. Pennsylvania State Police say the suspect, Juan Hernandez, and the victim knew each other. Investigators do not believe hate or bias was a motivation in her death. Family and friends say the victim, who identified as Chynaa Carrillo, moved from Arkansas to the Pittsburgh area for a fresh start. It's not clear how Carrillo and Hernandez knew each other. He was shot and killed by responding officers.
