Police identify motorcyclist killed in weekend crash

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A motorcyclist died over the weekend following a crash along Jefferson Barracks Park.

According to Sgt. Tracy Panus, a spokeswoman for the St. Louis County Police Department, the crash happened just before 5:20 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, in the 100 block of Kingston Drive.

Officers learned a motorcycle had crashed into the rear of a car. Both vehicles were traveling southbound on Kingston. The four occupants of the car were hospitalized with minor injuries.

The motorcyclist, identified as Jeff Zell, was rushed to a local hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. He was 56.
