Police identify teen killed in Fabius Twp. crash

The St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who witnessed a fatal pedestrian crash Sept. 25 to come forward.

Undersheriff Jason Bingaman identified the 16-year-old female victim as Emma Jean Thomas from Three Rivers.

Deputies were dispatched to a vehicle and pedestrian crash at about 10:26 p.m. Monday on US 131 near Broadway Road in Fabius Township.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

Bingaman asked in a press release if anyone had been a witness to the crash to please contact Sgt. Brandon Dahl at (269) 467-9045 ext. 311.

Deputies were assisted by Three Rivers Police Department, Three Rivers Fire Department, Fabius Park Fire Department, Shears Wrecker Service, and the St Joseph County Victim Services Unit.
