Police interview video played in Browning rape trial

Jurors heard from a 72-year-old man indicted on nine felony rape charges in the form of a recorded telephone call and video of a police interview. Michael Browning, a former manager of Gunpowder Falls State Park, is indicted on 27 counts. The trial entered its second day Friday with the jury hearing from the defendant in a police interview that lasted almost two hours. Baltimore County police Special Victims Unit Sgt. Jeffrey Mickle, the lead detective in the case, told the jury that the interview was recorded on video at police headquarters on the night Browning was arrested in 2022 on allegations he repeatedly raped a woman who worked for him during their years-long consensual sexual relationship.
